Short answer: DraftKings retired the standalone DK Live app. It was pulled from the app stores around October 2024, and its live play-by-play was folded into the main DraftKings DFS app on the Scores tab. That built-in view shows raw scores and play-by-play, but it does not track your fantasy lineup, so if you want to see whether your lineup is on pace, who is hot or cold, or your best possible lineup, you now need either the DFS app's Scores tab plus some manual maths, or a dedicated live tracker like LiveSlates.
What happened to DK Live?
DK Live was DraftKings' standalone app for live scores and play-by-play across NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL. DraftKings phased it out. It disappeared from Google Play and the App Store around late 2024, and the live information moved into the main DraftKings DFS app under the Scores tab. So DK Live was not so much shut down as absorbed and slimmed down.
What DK Live did, and what it never did
DK Live, and the Scores tab that replaced it, shows real sports data: scores, play-by-play, game state. What it never did was tell you how your fantasy lineup was doing. It did not translate a play into fantasy points, show whether you were on pace against a projection, or flag which of your players were quietly killing your entry.
For DFS, that gap is the whole problem: raw points lie. A player on 12 at halftime and a player on 12 in the fourth quarter are completely different situations, and a scores tab treats them the same.
How to track your DFS lineups live now
A few honest options, depending on how seriously you play:
- The DraftKings DFS app, Scores tab. Free and built in. Fine for a glance at game state, but it is sports scores, not lineup tracking, so you are doing the fantasy maths in your head.
- The multi-tab method. Refresh DraftKings for points, then cross-check ESPN, Flashscore or the league site to work out why a player is stuck. It works, but it is several tabs that do not talk to each other, and you still cannot easily tell if you are on pace.
- A dedicated live fantasy tracker. This is the category DK Live players tend to look for once it went away. A tracker built for DFS translates live play into fantasy points and shows pace, hot and cold, and your optimal lineup in one place.
