Short answer: A DFS second screen is your lineups' live scores running beside the games you are watching, so you see what each play means for you without picking up your phone. LiveSlates has a TV mode built for exactly that: full screen, large type, and the board's tabs turning by themselves so the whole slate goes by without anyone touching it.
Why a second screen
The games are on the TV; your lineups are in an app on your phone. Every touchdown means looking down, opening DraftKings, finding the entry and working out what it did. On a Sunday with a dozen games, that is most of the afternoon. A second screen flips it: the fantasy side of the game is always visible, live, next to the broadcast.
What makes a good DFS second screen
- Readable from the sofa. Large numbers and short lines, not a phone layout stretched across a TV.
- Hands-free. Nobody wants to click through tabs on a TV. The screen should move on by itself.
- Your lineups, not just scores. The point is what each play did to your entries: your best lineup, your pace, the plays that moved you.
- Honest about the connection. If the data stops, the screen should say so, not freeze on old numbers that look live.
How to run LiveSlates as a second screen
Open your live board on the computer connected to your TV, or on any big screen, and switch on TV mode: from the View menu, by pressing Shift + T, or by adding ?tv=1 to the address. The board goes full screen with larger type, and its tabs (The Action, My Lineups, My Players, The Slate and the rest) turn by themselves every 40 seconds, so the whole board passes by without anyone touching it. Pick a tab yourself and it stays for two minutes before moving on. A small Online / Offline pill tells you the board is connected. Escape or Shift + T leaves TV mode.

Common questions
Do I need special hardware? No. Any browser on a screen works: a laptop plugged into the TV, a smart TV browser, or a spare monitor.
Can I choose which tabs it shows? It turns through the tabs your board has. On Pro you can build your own board with just the tabs and panels you want on the TV.
Does it work for every sport? Yes, TV mode works on any slate you track: NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB.
